This list is not a complete list, but is intended as a guide. Always read product labels. Products in the USA must be labeled if they contain wheat, and many are clearly marked gluten free on the packaging. If in doubt, call the manufacturer directly for verification. Eat safe!

Abyssinian Hard (Wheat Triticum duran)
Avena (wild oats)
Barley (Hordeum vulgare)
Barley malt, barley extract
Beer, (unless specifically gluten-free) ale, porter, stout, other fermented beverages
Blue Cheese (made using bread mold in some cases)
Bran
Bread flours
Broth (may contain wheat or other gluten)
Bulgur (bulgur wheat and nuts)
Bouillon (read ingredients carefully)
Cereal (cereal extract, cereal binding)
Cracker meal
Croutons
Couscous
Durum
Einkorn, wild einkorn (an ancient wheat)
Emmer, wild emmer (an ancient wheat)
Farina
Farro
Flour (Including but not limited to: all-purpose, barley, bleached, bread, brown, cake, durum, enriched, gluten, graham, granary, high protein, oat, wheat, white, whole wheat)
Germ
Gliadin, Glutenin (together with water they make gluten)
Graham Flour
Hydrolyzed oat starch, hydrolyzed wheat gluten, hydrolyzed wheat protein
Kamut
Malt, (made using barley) malt beverages, malt extract, malted milk, malt flavoring, malt syrup, malt vinegar, maltose
Matzo (Matzah)
MIR (wheat, rye)
Miso (may contain barley)
Oats, oat bran, oat fiber, oat gum, oat syrup (unless marked gluten free, a cross-contamination issue)
Panko Crumbs
Rice malt, rice syrup, brown rice syrup
Rye, rye bread, pumpernickel bread
Soy Sauce (Tamari is a gluten-free alternative)
Seitan

Spelt
Sprouted wheat
Tabbouleh
Triticale
Udon
Vital gluten
