I was tired of watching cooking shows with negative comments and hostile hosts making dishes I probably would never eat or serve, so I thought to myself “I want to see the ‘Food for Thought’ network” and the KitchOut.com idea was made. Here you get personalized attention for your cooking questions and concerns, as we learn by doing and enjoying the manifestations of our creations…of fine, healthy foods and “doable” recipes made with ingredients that are readily available.
John Carlile, the founder of KitchOut.com, is an accomplished home cook with years of experience both in and out of the kitchen. He was the founder and president of Eco Echo Home, Inc. which focused on green products and sustainable residential projects. Eco Echo Home, Inc. specialized in kitchen and bath remodels, as well as retrofitting spaces to accommodate for our growing aging population. Several of their designs have been featured in national publications. In response to a changing economy and a desire to follow a life long passion, he changed courses with a shift toward living with joy…to be pulled toward instead of pushed against…and KitchOut.com was made! (Books that changed John’s life)
John has a Science Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and lives in Eugene, Oregon, with his husband and their three cats. He has also hosted a radio show and has given public presentations on green and sustainable design and “aging in place” options. He has contributed articles published is both shelter and trade magazines covering a wide range of environmental and design topics.
He hopes you enjoy the website and welcomes your comments.
