My dear friend Julianne is having a potluck party today and the weather outside is looking mighty dark and gray. At one point this sleepy morning it appeared to Kevin to be snowing as he caught sight of cherry blossom petals blowing by in the wind. It took a second for him to realize what it was. Lately the weather has been just funky enough that it might have actually been snow. Good morning, sunshine! Not!
So my plans for the potluck are to dress warmly with many layers and carry on. Outfit aside, I still need to figure out a dish to feed at least 20 people and I don’t really want to go to the grocery store. It is a lazy morning, I admit. I called Ann Flagg, another dear friend, for her orzo recipe. I have orzo, bell peppers, onions and olives. An easy orzo salad will be good. If I can send Kevin to the store for feta cheese and pine nuts, I’ll be all set.[button link=”http://kitchout.com/?page_id=795″]Recipe for Orzo Salad with Peppers, Kalamata Olives and Capers[/button]
